Lakeside apartments

Communication has gone down hill from staff. Parking lot is unsafe. Change in staff has really affected the property. Not a adequate space for people who may have multiple challenges or disabilities.

Worst place to be

If I could give this property and management company less than one star, I would. Lakeside apartments is a joke. If you enjoy living somewhere that is a kin to living at a broken down Motel six, then this complex is for you. It has plumbing issues, mold, ceilings falling in left and right, and roach infestations The company does a little to fix. The property is advertised as non-smoking, but many of the residents will chain-smoke, management does nothing to alleviate this problem. People do not clean up after their dogs, so you will likely be stepping in poo wherever you go. The buildings also smell terrible as they are not well-kept. The railings in each building are absolutely filthy and are never cleaned. Maintenance will do little to fix any issues that you have, and you will likely be charged for any and all issues that you have in your home upon move out, even if they were already there when you moved in. The management is also less than caring, and will not work with you if you have any sort of issues. Avoid this company, and this property at all costs.

The office staff are very polite and friendly, very quick to respond to any request. The Meitenens are polite and always perform the work promptly and efficiently. Apartment with spacious rooms.The advantages include Spacious dressing rooms, a fitness center, a swimming pool. Convenient location to I-5.There are many local parks nearby. One of the big advantages is the proximity to the center of Seattle. Guys, thank you very much, we have never regretted checking in with you.

Outstanding!

So I had some shady landlords last year around this time that sold the home I was renting. My fiance and I would have been homeless and an amazing woman reached out to us from this apartment and gave us a chance. It's been nearly a year and minus some congested parking this place has been amazing. Reasonable rent, nice amenities and precautions, and safety during the pandemic which has put my fiance and me at ease. The maintenance is on things quickly and so sweet. the management of every last one of them is kind and incredibly helpful. We just renewed for a second year. Here is too many more! Thank you all for all you have done and if you are looking for a nice place with a lot of space and a beautiful area this is the place to do so! Thank you so much!

Outstanding maintenance crew and office staff

When the apartment upstairs from us had their hot water heater leak into our apartment, the staff was quick to help us. The maintenance crew was awesome! They did an excellent job and were so kind and courteous. We want to thank everyone! We are still dealing with going through wet clothing and boxes of personal items that got soaked, but we are grateful and thankful to everyone who helped us! God bless all of you!

Making Our Apt A Happy Home

It is a great place to live alone or with family and friends

The best thing that I like about this community is the environment and caring staff members. I don't think there is anything to improves, but it will be a good option if we can have 24 7 hours services via call or dropin., I have seen many apartments but this apartment is the far best, and in future too.

The bestest and safest Community

I would say that Lakeside Apartments is the best community that I have lived in to date...and I have lived in a couple. I have lived here since 2013 and I find it very convenient for my kid's school because the school bus stops right by the mailbox. The grocery store Winco is within walking distance and the pharmacy - Walgreens is close by. My kid runs around the complex freely and I don't worry about his safety. The staff are very friendly and helpful and I appreciate their looking after my son on few occasions when I came late from work. I will only move from Lakeside to my new home which is not happening until the middle of 2018 and so I highly recommend this community to anyone looking to rent

Good experience

The front staff is very friendly and helpful. We have been here a month and so far we are liking it here. Mostly quiet and they keep the grounds nice and clean. My only complaint is that the washer and dryers need attention in the way of maintenance. We are finding that we have to dry our clothes twice to get them completely dry.

Livable but not extraordinary

It is like most apartments where you have the basics. The main downsides are thinner walls that hoped, the lighting in the apartment is minimal so you need to purchase your own for the living room and bedroom, there are clearly places in the apartment inspection that were overlooked, and the apartment is really overpriced if you need less than the 1 year lease. I will be asking for maintenance requests soon so I really don't know about how fast or how well the fix is done. I have personally lived in much better housing for much cheaper but it was in a different state so cost of living was much less as well. The good is that the managers were willing to work with us a little on the rent amount so that we didn't pay their given price for the 6 month lease and allowed us to move in on the 31st and not have to pay for that day of living in the apartment. Also paperwork is minimal so that makes life easier. The location was right for me and my family and the grounds are kept well.

Better than most apartments I have lived in

I love that there is no assigned parking aside from the covered ones. I thought it was a little odd for the mail box placement to be so far from the office, but I'm not complaining. I love having a safe place for my packages, a cabana area, a gym, and a pool. The office staff is really helpful and friendly, and it is so great to have someone around all the time. Because it is by a lake, the sidewalk can be a bit slick because of the ducks, geese and water, especially when it rains. Some of the grass areas are muddy, but they put in a bridge from our building to parking lot so I don't need to step on the muddy grass. Like a typical apartment, you sometimes may and might not hear the neighbors, mostly in the hallway, but the hallway is one of my favorite parts about being here. Makes me feel more secure, and the feeling of being in an hotel.

Quiet complex

Great parking availability. Quiet apartments. Staff is friendly but don't contact you when asked or reply to your emails. Grounds are clean for the most part. Trash is often overflowing. You can smell cannabis often.

Lakeside is a beautiful community to live in...

I love Lakeside because the apartments are very specious and has a huge walk-in closet. The natural lake is beautiful and my daughter loves to walk around it.

Happy and comfortable

My fiance and I both love living here. Rent is affordable. It is a very convenient location for our commutes to and from work. We feel safe, the units are very clean, and no complaints with the overall upkeep. The maintenance guys do a great job with that. Also, we are close to everything, but do not have the cramped feeling of the city, which we are so grateful We plan on staying much longer even if we have to sign a new lease. Everyone is nice, but pretty much keep to themselves again, what we like. Thank you Lakeside for making our transition from San Diego to Washington very easy and pleasant.

Property has great potential to be one of the best rental

My concerns would be, to be aware of your neighbors, the community washer and dryer are extremely expensive, the playground on site is not what one imagines, the gym does not consist of what one imagines as a gym, the pool is never drained therefor scrapes in the pool become infected immediately. Parking for the most part is ok, unless you have run ins with people that take up spaces for their broken down cars, drug using, and some that decide to live in the parking lot. In several cases, I have found used needles next to kids bus pick up and drop off area. Lakeside Staff is great and the Maintenance, Vlad and his team, are amazing. The community is a working progress. I have reservations to recommend people to Lakeside for rental because of the above.

This is a nice property

Apartments are clean. Grounds are kept very nice. Whenever I've had a maintenance issue, they are there trying to fix it within 24 hours.

My Review

This is a nice place to live. I could hardly hear any noises coming from neighbors at all. I like that the living room and bedroom are nice and spacious. The grounds are well kept, looks nice especially during summer.

Okay

Awesome things Size of units, free small fitness room, location, free outdoor pool, and nice common areas. Decent okay things Price of rent, parking, staff responsiveness and friendliness, neighbors, and sound insulation. Bad things Poor building materials, fixtures, and heat insulation. Maintenance fixes are quick temporary fixes, not permanent fixes, including trouble with mold and leaky faucets. Poor wooden cupboards and counters in some units are from 79 and show their age. Expensive washer dryers.

Worst apartment I have lived ever. I will NOT recommend

Worst apartment I have lived ever. Move in condition was terrible the toilet and bathtub was already stained, the most worst thing is that when you move out they will charge you lot of money for comprehensive cleaning. The hallways to my apartment always smell really bad due to trash being left in hallway, and smokers do inside apartments and hallways. Gym center is just for the name..... The floor in the entrance is dirty probably against safety standards. They charge extra money saying covered parking, but it is so congested and almost like open. Staffs are ignorant especially in emergency call. They behave so rudely once you decided moving out. I will strongly NOT recommend this apartment complex to anyone. If I had option to rate below ZERO, I would rate negative for all

Depends on your budget.

If 1,200 for a two bedroom is a deal for you then go for it. This is the first apartment I've lived in and after 6 months I have a pretty good idea of the establishments quality. Heating works fine, plumbing works fine, never had a lack of hot water either. Only complaint on the utility side of things is that depending on what apartment you have, the dumpster can be quite a ways away I usually have to throw my garbage in my car and drive it over since its winter and rainy... In terms of upkeep, the paint job on the initial move in was atrocious drips everywhere and its plain white , and makes me wonder why I had to wait so long for them to get the apartment ready . The doors, moldings, cabinets, and counter tops look like they're from the 90's, yet when we did the walk through the lady said ooo, this one has new everything. Appliances work well and haven't had much of an issue with cooking space either, but don't expect to be cooking with two people in the kitchen at once... Living room is almost too big, I had to buy a giant couch just to fill in some of the extra space still a lot of extra space. Walk in closet is a big hit for the Fiancee and fits her entire wardrobe with virtually no dressers needed. Internet wise, I've never really had an issue with losing connection, and when I do it's typically comcast going down they are only pretty much only wired for comcast by the way. The whole having to use lamps for your lights is VERY annoying as it takes away 3 4 of the wall outlets in each room, expect having to buy plenty of power strips. Laundry is a pain as the machines are expensive to use and are taken up a lot of the time each building has its own set of laundry machines on the first floor. The staff feel very robotic, I have yet to talk with someone who actually seems like a normal human being, and it's very concerning that they run their business in a way that seems to indoctrinate people.. Not good for first time people.

Nice apartment, Good Staff, Move-in Problems Roaches, Messy

It's a nice enough apartment complex. The unit is spacious and enjoyable. Noise levels aren't too bad, and parking is sparse, but overall fairly nice. The issue is that on move-in the apartment hadn't been cleaned there are still markings on my wall from the previous tenant, that even after a coat of paint are still clearly visible. There is still a strange odor from the mold and such that was throughout the kitchen, and bathroom. And a slough of other issues that were discovered - but mainly the cockroach problem. I still see cockroaches almost daily in the kitchen. I don't know if there's a massive infestation in the walls or what but at this point I feel like I won't stop seeing cockroaches until my lease is up and I move out. There was a brief period after exterminators showed up that we didn't see any, but they are back - and larger and more in the open than before...

Great care of residents

I have always had really quick and customer service oriented responses to my questions and maintenance requests. I even had a lot of help with an ongoing noise issue with a neighbor that helped stop the problem. The apartments could use updating as far as the quality level of the fixtures and so forth but I do appreciate that maintenance issues are dealt with in a timely manner. I have always enjoyed all my interactions with the staff here.

Good to live within the community.

We like the community and apartments and neighbors. But cleaning is so bad in M apartments. We didn't see anyone to clean in M apartment hall way and laundry.

Shading Billing Practices and Lacking Operational Standards

BILLING - Watch your portal charges and payments, especially if you pay rent early. Things are not posted in a timely manner or when you are charged. Everything is posted in the portal on the 1st, and late fees are charged on the 4th. My water was due on the 15th of every month, but was never posted on the portal until the 1st. On 2 separate occasions I paid the amount that was shown in the portal on the day before the 1st, but that was not the total of my bill. Both times I was charged twice as much as the bill. Warning you only have a 3 day window to pay these people. LACKING OPERATING PROCEDURES - Be sure to be present and have copies of all paperwork with signatures at all inspections they have. There are pre and post move out and other bizarre inspections. Get them to sign off before you leave. The apartment G108 that I moved into had flooded prior to my arrival and some of the carpet had permanent damage and staining. Eventhough on move in I passed on getting the carpet cleaned again and was promissed not to be changed for the carpet on move out by Dennis one of the managers, I still was charged. I'm lead to believe so, because I think it is mandatory and a legal obligation to provide a signed Move Out Inspection report by the rental agency along with a check for your Security Deposit difference. These people are ridiculous and I would never recommend this place to anyone.

I love this place and my top floor 2 bedroom.

Huge rooms, generous deck with huge slider, huge walk-in closet, dog friendly, beautiful grounds and pools, and lake with a beach and fountains. I'm a senior, and have lived here 4 years, and hope I never have to leave.
