The Artiste in the past nine years, & with the replacement of the previous staff, Jane, Summer, and Gene, upkeep has gone... way down. They were all awesome and extremely helpful when it came to concerns about cleanliness. Overall, as far as keeping things working, Domingo does a great job at doing that, but this is not a one-person show.
In the P2 garage near the elevators, the carpet is not vacuumed enough considering the traffic. I always have to mention this to the staff when it's looking undesirable. The elevator buttons on the outside (sometimes on the inside too), on P2, and my floor on the exterior of the elevator can use wiping down regularly. You'd think with covid & all that is going on, that it would be a priority to keep the buttons disinfected. The same for the door at the entry of the property.
The pavement at the entry of the building is not kept up like it used to be, and there are long periods in between the time that the hallways are vacuumed which is irritating due to pets, dust, and particles that accumulate on the carpet. The Artiste is a lovely property, this is why I moved here 9 yrs ago & have stayed, but the quality of the upkeep has continued to diminish, unfortunately. This has always been a concern of mine even prior to the pandemic.
The trash on P2 sometimes is left to overflow from Fridays until Monday, even till Tuesday when it's a holiday and when Domingo is NOT working, or on vacation. I was told that he would get the garbage once he returns, instead of the management taking care of it. Some of the trash was on the ground.
I'm mentioning this because just last year, my neighbor and I saw a mouse on the carpet in P2 near the elevator. I spoke to Domingo the next day about the trash being left for days at a time in P2 because our storages are openly accessible to rodents to get inside. I did not want to imagine this happening.
Nathan and Savana are nice, I just wish that they were more active in the areas mentioned.

This is my second stay at the Artiste( I spent 11 months from July 2017 until June 2018 before). I am pretty happy with... everything, the staff is always friendly and helpful, the place is quiet and neat. My apartment is over 500 square feet and the price is very reasonable . The bathroom has no tub and this makes it even better. Despite located on Aurora Ave N, I cannot hear the sound of the cars . The only thing they can do better is the return of the security deposit, it has to be done directly in your checking account instead of getting a check.. I have not yet found a better place to live, but The Artist is one of my favorites that I’ve lived in. In any apartments... for sure will be good things and bad, and for everybody it will be different. But for here I like the management. I’m so glad that my wife and I chose to live at the Artiste. Not only is it close to everything that you need (Costco, Trader... Joe’s, Fred Meyer, restaurants, shops) the management is amazing as well. Summer gave my wife and I a tour of the complex and we immediately fell in love with it. Since we’ve been living here Summer, Jane and Domingo have made us feel more than welcome. There are so many great community events and Domingo is on top of any maintenance issues that may arise. Having a team like that makes living at Artiste such an enjoyable experience. On top of that the apartments are spacious and modern. I would tell them that this is an amazing complex, community and specially staff. I've never lived in an apartment complex... set up like this one. When you walk into the lobby, everyone is greeted with a warm welcome home, how was your day, is there anything I can do for you. It's like having your own personal door man when coming home from a long day at work. Great new apartment
Ii really like the kitchen's marble countertops and new stainless appliances. The laminate flooring, carpet mirrors, design... and layout of this apartment is great. It is very comfortable and feels like a new home to me. I do hear the upstairs neighbor kind of stomping around, likely because they walk too hard or need to remove their shoes, but it is not constant and not that bad, just not soundproof. Oh well. Staff is courteous and helpful, the garage is sometimes difficult to get around in, the floorplan and layout of the apartment... is nice, and by and large well thought out. There are minor inconveniences with the wiring, with some switches in odd areas, but otherwise nice.
